Overton Industries is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for our Plant 2 Production Facility in Mooresville, Indiana. This is a fast paced environment with stamping presses, wet & dry tumbling equipment, and forklifts.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare boxes to be shipped within North America and Internationally.
• Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
• Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
• Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify maintenance personnel or contact outside service facility for repair.
• Direct movements of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
• Compile records of unfilled orders.
• Post weight & shipping charges and prepare Bills of Lading.
• Be able to lead and collaborate with multiple shifts to create one team to meet department goals, work with all departments, and be very flexible.
• Have strong leadership & direction, an eye for detail, ability to ensure proper procedures and training for all members are being met, and regulate safety procedures.
• Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Plan, assign, and direct work.
• Provide feedback, recognize, and engage with employees.
• Address complaints and resolve problems.
• Computer and phone use is routine – Knowledge of JobBOSS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is a plus.
• Must be used to a fast paced, potentially loud environment that may require hearing protection.
• Proper footwear (i.e. work boots) is required.
• Must be able to lift/move 35LB boxes and stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Must have dependable transportation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
