Business Development Manager - Utility-Scale Solar Power

Job Description:

Owen Electric is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in our utility-scale solar power division. Owen is dedicated to expanding our portfolio and making significant contributions to the global transition to sustainable energy solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the utility-scale solar sector, with a deep understanding of market trends, project development processes, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the utility-scale solar power sector, focusing on project development, partnerships, and strategic alliances.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including utilities, developers, investors, government agencies, and other relevant entities.

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for growth.

Represent Owen Electric at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote our services, build networks, and enhance brand visibility.

Stay updated on relevant policies, regulations, and incentives affecting the utility-scale solar industry, and leverage this knowledge to inform business decisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or project management within the utility-scale solar power sector.

Proven track record of successfully developing and closing utility-scale solar projects, with a strong understanding of project economics, financing structures, and regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and negotiate complex agreements.

Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to assess market opportunities, evaluate risks, and develop data-driven strategies.

Self-motivated and results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams towards common objectives.

Familiarity with project development processes, including site selection, permitting, interconnection, and off-take agreements.

Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend meetings, and visit project sites.
