Position Summary
As a Bookkeeper at Overland, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day financial operations. Your responsibilities will include recording financial transactions, updating ledgers, reconciling bank statements, and processing accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to contribute to the financial success of our organization.
Your Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in recording financial transactions.
Process accounts payable and receivable, overseeing timely and accurate payments and collections.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial summaries.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Monitor and analyze accounting data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and provide support for various business functions.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Verifiable experience in bookkeeping and accounting practices.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office, especially Excel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. (2-year associate degree in accounting is required)
