Desktop Support Technician
Duties:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows) and software applications
- Set up and configure network connections, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Respond to user inquiries and provide timely resolutions
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as needed
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and firewall configurations
- Document technical procedures and create knowledge base articles
- Provide end-user training on IT systems and applications
Experience:
- Proven experience in desktop support or IT support role
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10)
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Proficiency in analyzing system logs and event logs to identify problems
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Experience working with help desk ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
