PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Reporting to the Foundation President, the Assistant Development Director plays a vital role in growing contributed revenue for Ovation Communities and its programs, cultivating an organization wide culture of philanthropy, and ensuing the Foundation is a sought-after organization for a philanthropic investment. This is achieved through managing the Foundation’s fundraising campaigns and events and nurturing direct relationships with mid-level donors. The Assistant Development Director will also manage leadership development initiatives (such as Teen Ovation and Next-Gen Ovation)

JOB DUTIES:

1. Assists with various fundraising campaigns and events, working with staff and lay leaders to successfully meet annual fundraising goals.
2. Builds and manages a portfolio of current and prospective mid-level donors - to include cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
3. Responsible for creating and implementing donor stewardship plans, working with FRD team to ensure successful delivery to all donor tiers to include timely reporting on impact and outcomes.
4. Uses donor software for tracking communications and touchpoints and serves as a backup role in donor data management.
5. Contributes to foundation marketing collateral and other writing projects information for our website and program newsletters and updated and quarterly magazine Kavod Connections.
6. Assumes responsibilities and represents Ovation and Foundation at special events in a professional manner and promotes Ovation within the community.
7. Works well in collaboration with the Foundation President, Ovation President, and lay leaders to advance Ovation’s fundraising/development goals.
8. Assists Foundation President in Foundation grant management and Hand in Hand grant cycles (Hand in Hand an auxiliary organization supporting Ovation Communities.)
9. Prospecting for donors and potential sponsors.
10. Writing sponsorship collateral for events and sending these to potential sponsors.
11. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Experience:

3-5 years fundraising and event management experience required. Experience with fundraising/CRM software platforms such as Raisers Edge or similar. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word and Excel).

Education:

Undergraduate degree required. Master's helpful.

Other:

Read, write, and speak the English language.
