Position Summary

The Client Service Associate is the direct point of contact for institutional, sub-advisory, and high-net worth clients and their consultants to manage routine life-cycle transaction needs and ad-hoc requests. The Client Service Associate provides a full range of support for Relationship Managers by acting as a liaison between the valued client and various departments within Boston Partners.

They will act as a backup to the Relationship Manager on assigned client relationships and ensure best-in-class support within a dynamic investment organization.

Major Responsibilities

  • Partner with Relationship Managers to support day-to-day client servicing and new account onboarding.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of all assigned client relationships including investment strategies, portfolio guidelines and reporting requirements.
  • Manage clients’ and consultants’ routine requests and maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
  • Research and gather data to respond to non-routine requests.
  • Assist Relationship Managers in preparing for client visits by facilitating the collation of firm-wide and product specific data and submitting presentation book requests.
  • Coordinate and ensure timeliness, accuracy, and delivery of monthly and quarterly reporting packages for clients and consultants.
  • Proficiently maintain several industry database and reporting systems.

Requirements/ Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree: concentration in business/finance is a plus.

  • Minimum of three years of experience with an investment management firm or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of global financial markets and product differences/characteristics.
  • Experience with an institutional client base strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to analyze, prioritize, multi-task and work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Reliable and well-organized, able to juggle several projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel are required; knowledge of FactSet, Varden and Microsoft Dynamics CRM are a plus.

  • Job may require working beyond regular business hours on a periodic basis.
