About the Role: We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to become a member of our Cloud Automation Team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate should have broad knowledge and experience in software development, cloud infrastructure, and security principles. Responsibilities: Design and develop internal web applications Be a core contributor to the Cloud Automation Team portfolio of products and services Define and document software engineering standards, frameworks, and tools Become a technical Subject-Matter-Expert while promoting a DevSecOps mindset across Alcority Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5-7 years professional experience in software, systems, or infrastructure engineering. Ability to write secure, reliable, and testable production quality code in one or more modern programming language (Python, Go, Rust, C#, Typescript, etc.) Experience with shell scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) Experience developing and deploying full-stack web applications Expertise is Git version control and familiar with the trade-offs between branching strategies Knowledge of front-end application technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.) Understanding of HTTP and web application security (OWASP, CORS, TLS, etc.) Experience implementing modern web authentication (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, etc.) Experience with public cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP) Knowledge of API concepts and technologies (REST, SOAP, Swagger, etc.) Familiarity with modern software architecture patterns and techniques Understanding of CI/CD concepts (Static/Dynamic analysis, vuln scanning, etc.) Demonstrated ability to: Approach every situation with accountability and integrity. Quickly learn new technologies, methodologies, tools and processes. Comprehend complex and complicated projects. Deliver results within expected timelines with minimal oversight. Adapt to changes and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Effectively collaborate with others to achieve objectives and key results. Nice to have: Direct experience building applications using Azure Active Directory as an auth provider Experience building CI/CD pipelines and templates (Azure DevOps, Github Actions, etc.) Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, etc.) Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Powershell DSC, etc.) Experience building and deploying containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Nomad, etc.) Familiarity with Linux OS system administration (NixOS, Debian, RedHat, Ubuntu, etc.) Experience with both public (Azure, AWS, etc) and private cloud (VMWare, OpenStack, Nutanix, etc) infrastructure architecture development and multi-tenancy environments a plus Familiarity with HPC (High Performance Computing) paradigms and low-latency development Understanding of AI concepts and their potential for real-world applications It is impossible to list every requirement for, or responsibility of, any position.
