Job Summary

The Software Engineer (Back-end) will deliver cutting-edge Java solutions and will be responsible for the technical components for development, optimization, and user testing for DerbySoft connectivity platform. Specific duties include: 

• Use Java as programming language to work with senior technical team to develop the Content Suite. 75% 
• Understand and analyze product requirements, participate in product module design and implementation. 15% 
• Independently complete the design and development of product related functions based on the existing microservices and AWS cloud framework. 5%
• Provide software engineering and code specification. 5%

Experience and Skills Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 2 years of progressive experience which must include each of the following:
  • 2 years in Core Java development
  • 2 years in delivering web-based technology solutions to meet business needs 
  • 2 years in coding in web-based applications 
  • 2 years in design patterns, asynchronous messaging, Java multithreading, high concurrency, IO/NIO, network communication, List, Array, Map, Set, Stack, and Vector
  • 2 years in Spring, Spring Boot, or Spring Cloud 
  • 2 years in common data persistence frameworks and solutions, such as Mybatis, Hibernate, or JPA 
  • 2 years in HTTP, TCP/IP protocols, and REST specifications 
  • 2 years in Gradle, Maven and other build tools 
  • 2 years in Proficient version control tool: Git and SVN 
  • 2 years in JSON and XML
