POSITION PURPOSE:
A versatile corporate oriented position at a nonprofit that wants to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Together we can restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world. You will be working on an exciting new business unit, together with a global team, to help manage large scale forest carbon projects for key partners and investors.

Reporting Relationships
Reports to our Director of Nature Based Solutions

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

• Collaborate with a diverse global team to manage, from a client perspective, certified nature-based solutions (NBS) projects.
• Manage a portfolio of corporate partner relationships, mainly multinational corporations with large scale and long-term contracts.
• Maintain a strong understanding of One Tree Planted’s carbon project, to confidently share them with potential funders and align with
  corporate sustainability goals.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism with donors and working to establish a positive rapport with every enquiry.
• Be proactive and work as a team to satisfy the client’s needs, with a solution-oriented and result-driven mindset.
• Prepare donor agreements; facilitate invoices and coordinate payments when required.
• Cultivate strong relationships with recurring business partners, focusing on trust, transparency and good communication.
• Work closely with the Carbon NBS team to align on opportunities and strategic priorities.
• Provide ideas on how to continuously improve and grow the organization.
• Create, maintain update registries on CRM databases as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in an environmental area or business administration, international relations, economics, and related fields.
• Proven work experience in account management, customer relationship, and contact with environmental assets or forest carbon/NBS
  projects.
• Good understanding of the sustainability/ESG space, with special interest for climate change/decarbonization.
• Proven ability to handle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
• Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and MS Office, including Excel. Practice with Canva would be a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and oral. Proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is a strong plus.
