On Top Of The World is Hiring a Technical Project Manager Near Ocala, FL

The Technical Project Manager position is responsible for managing, planning and implementation of software and hardware projects for the IT Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following statements describe the principal functions of this position and the scope of responsibility, but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements. Individuals may be expected to perform other duties as assigned, including working in other areas to cover absences or balance the workload.   • Develop and mange the project, communication, resource plans and processes
  • Gather and document management and technical processes to ensure they are delivered as expected
  • Meet regularly with project stakeholders and define project goals and objectives
  • Lead resource allocation through all technical project phases
  • Schedule project timelines
  • Make estimates for project implementation schedule
  • Generate regular reports to update stakeholders and manage projects
  • Establish and train teams on processes and strategies
  • Define roles and responsibilities of the team and determine clear deliverables as it pertains to the project
  • Research and evaluate new hardware and software technology and help make decisions on the cost-benefit analysis of new purchases

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Technical Skills)

Education and Experience:

  • Project management certification preferred
  • Prior experience as a technical project manager required
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing technical team leads in various departments


Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to motivate a wide variety of teams associated with the project
  • Clear communication skills to guide project teams and coordinate with vendors and management
  • Possess a range of analytical and IT/computer skills
  • Knowledge of new and established software systems and the ability to educate others on them
  • Organizational and time management skills to keep teams and projects on schedule
  • Ability to prioritize between multiple projects while maintaining organization of projects
  • Security oriented; able and willing to promote security initiatives in the organization
  • Excellent customer service skills as this position will require extensive communication with managers, end users, and other staff members on a daily basis
  • Comfortable in a highly competitive, collaborative and fast-paced work environment
