Wound Care Specialist, Home Health, Port Angeles & Sequim, Per Diem, Day Shift

JOB SUMMARY:

The wound care specialist works together with Olympic Medical Home Health clinicians to manage and treat the wounds of OMHH patients. Responsible for assisting in coordinating home care services for patients with wounds who are discharged from Olympic Medical Center and other facilities. This includes necessary wound equipment needs. Provides home visits as necessary as well as chart audits with respect to wound care and management as deemed necessary or as assigned. Works closely with the Clinical Manager related to wound management and reports weekly regarding status of all OMHH wounds.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
BSN required. Master’s degree with clinical specialty in geriatrics preferred. Successful completion of accredited Wound Management Program.
Experience
Three to five years’ experience in home health, hospital (acute or intensive care) or other health care setting. Previous case management experience and management of staff training/education programs preferred. Must have computer software skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office functions such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Licensure/Credentials
Washington State RN license and Wound Care Nurse certification (CWCN) required. Have or able to obtain BLS certification.
