Plans and administers medically prescribed occupational therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part, perform activities of daily living including safety in home, cooking, dressing, grooming and improve memory and communication. Recommends appropriate adaptive equipment to improve patient independence, safety and offer pressure relief. Consults with medical and professional staff to plan and coordinate patient total plan of care. Frequent contact with terminal illness, death and dying issues and emotional stress.
