Olivier Cheng Catering and Events is Seeking a Financial Controller

OVERVIEW

Olivier Cheng Catering and Events is a luxury hospitality company based in New Yok City whose primary focus is catering high end corporate and social events in the Tri-State area, with a variety of collaborations throughout the United States. Additionally, we have a production company that creates and builds a variety of product related activations. The company employs over 40 full time employees and hundreds of free-lance employees throughout the year.

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Financial Controller is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of the company’s reports and statements. will oversee accounts payable, sales auditing and administrative tasks for the restaurant.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• General ledger financial accounting
• Financial account reconciliations
• Reconciliation of sales data with accounting software
• General journal entries
• Cash-flow forecast and budgets
• Financial reporting to department heads
• Commission calculations
• Capital budgeting
• Implementing & maintaining financial controls
• Booking payroll
• Overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Booking intercompany transactions
• Completing insurance audits
• Cost-analysis
• Knowledge of sales tax
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience 
• Must have general accounting knowledge 
• Bachelor’s in accounting, CPA preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Accounting Software 
• Excellent Communication Skills, written and verbal 
• Should be a team player who is reliable and displays integrity 
• Must be a self-starter, quick-thinker, and have excellent time management skills. 
• Highly organized and can work with little supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

COMPENSATION 

Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00 - $110,000)
