This role will support and enhance our HR systems to ensure that processes run smoothly, accurate data is available, and employees are empowered in their work. This will require effective communication, analytical skills, and customer service. The HRIS Analyst will assess user needs, perform analysis of system capabilities, and propose and implement value-creating solutions. Other tasks include troubleshooting system issues, configuration changes, documenting processes, and user training. This position will work closely with other departments including Information Technology to test updates and troubleshoot issues. They will also need to be aware of emerging technologies and opportunities and their effect on the OSU HR Technology ecosystem.

Position Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
High School/GED and five years of experience supporting and administering Enterprise-level systems, including human capital management systems. Post-secondary education substitution considered for years of experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of database administration and Structured Query Language (SQL).
Demonstrated ability to create documentation and train end users
Along with technical skills, the ideal candidate will demonstrate skills related to:

Problem solving
Communicating effectively (verbal & written) to both technical and non-technical individuals
Organizing your work and prioritizing tasks to focus on value-generating projects
Collaborating across diverse teams
Creating and implementing continuous improvement solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, or related field.
Experience working with Ellucian Banner, especially the HR Module
Working knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures, and best practices, including solid knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment laws
Project management, lean six sigma, business process mapping, requirements gathering
Excel, SQL, Cognos, SAS, or related system certifications
