OHM Fitness is Hiring a Bookkeeper Near Scottsdale, AZ

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Office Manager/Controller to oversee our company's financial management and accounting operations. The position will be responsible for financial reporting, budget management, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, tax compliance, and other financial activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with management and staff. While it is not required, knowledge in franchising and the background mechanics is highly sought after.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Manage the company's financial accounting and reporting systems, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and some tax compliance.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with management and other stakeholders.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making processes, including strategic planning and business development initiatives.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships to ensure sufficient liquidity for the company's ongoing operations.
  • Work closely with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team, providing leadership and guidance to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • CPA designation is not required.
  • 3 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in a leadership role, managing teams and providing strategic direction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other financial regulations.
  • Experience with financial management software, such as Acumatica is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
