Odesus is Hiring a Financial Analyst (Healthcare) Near Los Angeles, CA

Job Details

Large Los Angeles based healthcare system of hospitals, clinics, and primary care providers is looking to hire a Financial Analyst for a 1 year contract with extensions.

Position is remote but must be a local candidate within 2 hours of Los Angeles 90032.

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:

  • 5 years of accounting (specifically fund accounting) AND financial analysis experience in a hospital or similar environment (Information Technology knowledge a plus)
  • Experience as a mid-level financial/budget analyst
  • Experience developing new financial reports and tracking and reporting on KPI s
  • Financial Analysis (be able to analyze and explain financial data)
  • Budget/Variance Analysis (be able to research and explain budget variances)
  • Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables, sum-ifs); experience creating and working with large linked excel files
  • Understanding of GAAP, the General Ledger, and the Chart of Accounts with a deep understanding of amortization and pre-paids accounting entries
  • Experience creating, building and maintaining financial models
  • Experience working with a major financial ERP (i.e. Infor Lawson)
  • Experience reading, understanding and applying the financial terms of vendor contracts, i.e, payment milestones, invoice terms, etc. Be able to validate invoices against executed contract terms.
  • Experience working with Finance, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and external vendors and working with them to shepherd invoices and PO s through to final payment/execution. Be comfortable being responsible for seeing these items (and other financial processes) through to completion.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Must be able to multi-task and meet multiple competing deadlines
  • Must be a reasonably quick learner.
  • Must be able to work independently under general direction.
