The Clinical Educator provides continuing education support for nursing and aillied health professionals. Provides initial and ongoing orientation and training to Nursing Services staff. Assists with hospital competency assessment and performance improvement activities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Five years clinical experience preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. ACLS and PALS Instructor certification preferred. BLS Instructor certification required.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of adult theory and strategies. Well-developed oral, written, organizatonal and interpersonal skills. Experienced computer skills.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, additional hours including weekends or holidays may be required due to increase in workload, assignment and completion of special projects. Must be flexible if required to work long or irregular hours.
