Responsibilities

The Building Services Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of designated staff assigned to the Building Services Department. Supervises and facilitates training of staff ensuring they provide general and specialized cleaning, sanitation and disinfection of designated areas for the hospital in accordance with established standards.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Three years experience, preferably in a hospital environment. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional preferred. Valid Drivers’ license and reliable transportation as driving between campuses is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of cleaning and principles of infection control. Bilingual preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Normally Monday through Friday; however additional hours may be required due to increase workload, assignment and completion of special projects. In addition, some weekends are required for rounding as well as “on call” coverage. Must be flexible, if required to work long or irregular hours.
