Catering Sales Manager - Cambria Omaha Downtown

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet revenue goals
  • Manage monthly forecasting and annual budget process
  • Direct yield management and use of historical data
  • Evaluate catering opportunities to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Participate in researching competition and developing strategic business plans
  • Maximize revenue by selling all hotel facets to clients
  • Consistently book repeat business through long-term client relationships
  • Actively participate in industry-related organizations and community activities
  • Utilize effective sales and negotiation techniques
  • Comply with hotel site inspections and facilitate client presentations
  • Coordinate with banquet department on event execution
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competition
  • Work with outside vendors to ensure client satisfaction
  • Comply with attendance rules and work availability

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and persuasion abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SalesPro or Delphi
  • Sound knowledge of hotel products and services
  • Confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Comfortable with high visibility and leadership roles

Education & Experience:

  • 1-2 years catering sales experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED required

Hours:

  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

  • Light Work: occasional lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Physical activities include climbing, stooping, standing, walking, etc.

Work Environment:

  • Inside: Protection from weather conditions
