Description:
N.E.W. Boces is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to support our dynamic team in providing exceptional education and care to students with diverse needs. The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient administrative operations, facilitating communication, and contributing to the smooth functioning of the school environment. **Responsibilities:** 1. **Administrative Support:**
Provide administrative support to the school administration, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing meetings.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of correspondence, reports, and other documents.
Maintain accurate records and files, both electronic and physical, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school policies.
2. **Communication:**
Serve as a point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, providing courteous and professional assistance both in person and over the phone.
Facilitate effective communication between school staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and inquiries, responding promptly or directing them to the appropriate person.
3. **Student Support:**
Assist in student enrollment processes, including maintaining student records, coordinating admissions paperwork, and supporting registration activities.
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure students' individual needs are met, including scheduling appointments and coordinating support services.
Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for students, providing assistance as needed and fostering a positive school culture.
4. **Operational Support:**
Assist in the coordination of school events, meetings, and activities, including logistics, reservations, and materials preparation.
Manage inventory and supplies, monitoring levels and ordering replacements as necessary.
Support administrative tasks related to finances, such as processing invoices, tracking expenses, and reconciling accounts.

Requirements:
Previous experience in administrative support roles, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
