SUMMARY
Responsible for billing and follow up of unbilled claims and invoices, assure timely billing and process all accounts in order to minimize billing time and maximize cash flow.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and manage client claims both electronic and paper, work daily reports BCE, 277, Red X and other reports defined by manager.
- Resolve accounts timely and effectively. Ability to interact with insurance carriers, clients and administration.
- Communicate with programs, clients and insurance companies regarding co-pays, deductibles, denials and COB issues.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required. 2–3-years in healthcare billing (Behavioral Health/Addictions) experience.
ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have experience in medical billing, collections and MS Office Suite (Excel and Word
- Proficient in computer software and technology.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD10, 837I/837P, 277 Rejection Reports, 270/271 Eligibility files, 999/TA1 files.
- Strong knowledge of Payer websites for claim status and verification.
- Strong knowledge with payer Community Behavioral Health and Pennsylvania Medicaid.
- This job requires focus and attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in our corporate vison, mission, and values statements.
