This position with NCDOT offers full State Benefits, competitive salaries and many career development opportunities.
This position is located within Vehicle Services in the Special License Plate Unit. It assists the public with titling and licensing vehicles with personalized and special license plate, communicates with and assists the public and Government Officials by phone with questions and concerns with personalized and license plate inquires, and assists other unit within DMV and branch office with questions regarding personalized and special plate inquiries. The position will issue personalized and special license plates or renewal stickers by entering information into a PC using Vehicle Registration STARS Program, check personalized plate choices on the computer for vailability, collect correct fees and maintain a cash drawer and close out and balance a cash drawer daily. This position will compose letters or use standard form letters created on STARS to respond to the public regarding their registration/plates. This position may assist Supervisor and Manager with contact us, daily deposits, official letters written in mail merge and new plate categories.
