Noodle & Boo is seeking a qualified Sales Rep who has 3-7 years’ experience CPG products to grocery and big box retailers buyers and brokers both Nationally or Regionally.

Job Description

  • Develops and implements strategies to maintain and/or expand sales to achieve corporate goals.
  • Prepares a plan for each account to identify and meet short and long-term needs.
  • Forecasts the demand for product(s) within the North American market.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Travels through the North American market to visit brokers, distributors and retail establishments to promote the sale of company products.
  • Makes initial contact with key personnel of targeted customers and builds a strong business rapport.
  • Interfaces with customers to understand the customers’ overall objectives and requirements.
  • Contacts customers on a regular basis to maintain account relationships, advise customers of new product and service offerings, and obtains feedback on products.
  • Shares details with customers on additional offerings to provide value added service.
  • Serves as a point of escalation for issues or activities that the customer encounters related to product sales.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems/complaints.
  • Conducts pre-contract liaisons with customers and negotiates contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepares quotations and credit terms for new customers in accordance with company policy.
  • Prepares and reviews sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Displays, demonstrates, presents and/or distributes samples, emphasizing salable features of the products and introducing new products at customers’ sites.
  • Participates in trade shows by representing the organization and sharing information on products.
  • Provides feedback to marketing and product development teams for future product enhancements.
  • Researches market conditions and conducts feasibility studies to determine market demand for the company’s existing and new products.
  • Works with brokers and distributors to share market and customer information and to develop good business rapport.
  • Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel.


Experience and Skills:

  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing related field.
  • 3-7 years of account management experience selling CPG to grocery, big box, warehouse clubs, etc.
  • Advanced selling and negotiation skills.
  • Must demonstrate sales planning, forecasting, and sales execution experience.
  • Proficient in EXCEL spreadsheet and PowerPoint presentation software.
  • Must show proven ability to build and maintain strong, effective relationships with customers and functional groups.
  • Must show aptitude to effectively interpret and use multiple information sources to develop customer-specific tactical plans and options.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
