Role:

The Software Development Manager must be a seasoned expert in .NET, ASP MVC, C#, and JavaScript. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end development process, managing a team of developers, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. To be successful in this role you must possess a deep understanding of design patterns, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), GIT branching processes, and ADO deployment pipelines. The Software Development Manager must be a results-oriented leader with a passion for innovation and excellence in software development.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages a team of .NET developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support
• Oversees the development and maintenance of .NET applications, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-performance and scalable software solutions
• Conducts regular performance reviews and provides constructive feedback to team members
• Interacts with stakeholders to gather requirements, defines project scope, and ensures successful feature delivery
• Stays abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to guide technical decision-making
• Manages the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and ensures effective project management from conception to deployment
• Implements and maintains GIT branching processes and ADO deployment pipelines
• Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the development team
• Other related duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• In-depth knowledge and expertise in .NET, ASP MVC, C#, and JavaScript
• Strong understanding of SDLC principles and best practices
• Proficient in GIT branching processes and ADO deployment pipelines
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 10 years of software engineering experience
• 5 years of software architecture design
• 2 years of software development management
• Proven experience as a Software Development Manager or similar role
• Experience with Xamarin, Windows Services, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Cloud Services is highly desirable
• Previous experience in HVAC Industry or other service business preferred

• Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day
