At ALTR we are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test I (SDET). The ideal candidate will be able to work within a development team to verify and validate software. They will also be able to work within an automation team designing, developing, and contributing to software automation projects meant to shorten the testing stage of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design, develop, and test real world automated test applications.
•Verification and validation of software development releases.
•Increase current portability of existing automated test suites.
•Collaborate with team leads and technical stakeholders to provide feedback in planning and development stages.
Requirements
& Experience:
•3-5 years of work in Software Testing or Software Engineering
•Experience with testing or implementing popular API and RPC frameworks (Express, gRPC, WebSocket, etc.)
•Significant experience with black box testing
•Experience with glass box testing
•Programming Languages (Java, JavaScript, C#)
•Experience with relevant testing frameworks (JUnit, NUnit, Mocha, Chai)
•Experience with test case design
•Clear and effective communication
•Willing and able to work on site at least 2 days x week
•Willing and able to travel as needed
•Reliable transportation, internet and phone access

At ALTR, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 , but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, and business need.
