Project Description : Support of Capital Projects in the Systems Business Unit

Professional / Technical Title : Quality Control Specialist

Duration of Service Required : 52 Weeks

Schedule : 5 days a week (Monday Friday) 8a - 5p Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) might be required, 40 Hours Week (Unpaid lunch break)

Work Location : 2 Broadway New York, NY (No Relocation offered.)

Reports to : Director, Quality

Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree, in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation or a related field.

Candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years construction experience inquality control including quality management systems (QMS), and all basic quality concepts : quality data collection;

quality auditing; and / or system development with quality control programs.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. At least 60 credits from an accredited college, university or technical school with specialization in engineering technology or related field and (6) years of experience as describe above.

Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and business staff.

Knowledge of capital construction contracts and procedures.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Applications including SharePoint, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Familiar and hands-on experience with Quality concepts and processes, including FTA and ISO 9001.

Strong analytic problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Job Description :

Monitor quality management activities for C&D Systems projects including submittal reviews, non-conformance systems, identification / development of corrective action plans as needed, and ongoing sites visits.

Provides ongoing review, development and update of C&D quality related procedures, guidelines and other documentation.

Performs ongoing project quality assessment, makes recommendations, and conducts follow-ups to ensure correction of identified project deficiencies.

Provides monthly quality reports and updates on quality activities and project status for presentation for Senior Management.

Develops and provides quality related training for C&D contractor / consultant quality personal to enhance awareness of quality processes and requirements.

Works with C&D Corporate Audit and C&D Delivery Service Office (DSO) personnel to identify and initiate improvements in processes, procedures, requirements, and activities to ensure the successful execution of the MTA C&D Capital Program.
