Reports to: Store Sales Manager, Assistant Store Sales Manager

Direct Reports: Sales Specialist

Primary Purpose: The Shift Lead drives sales growth by personally selling deep and across all product categories and delivering emotionally engaging customer experiences – consistent with the brand vision. The Shift Lead promotes a high-performance selling culture by inspiring, supporting and mentoring peers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drives top line store sales and growth by personally selling to customers
• Leads the sales floor and drives store results through the sales team and creating a selling environment
• Oversees customer experience, overall appearance and day to day operations of the store, in partnership (or in absences of) with the Store Sales Manager/Assistant Sales Manager
• Moves with intention throughout the store, connecting with multiple customers
• Proactively engages with customers, reads cues and responds effectively
• Creates a memorable connection by asking effective questions to identify customer needs and make a compelling product recommendation
• Uses confident selling statement and is effective at overcoming customer objections
• Displays expert product knowledge and takes initiative to elevate personal and peer knowledge of product categories
• Participates in sales goal setting with manager and tracks individual performance towards the goal
• Makes it a priority to understand the business and offers suggestions on how the store can be more productive
• Creates enthusiasm for selling strategies by inspiring, supporting and mentoring others’ selling behaviors
• Assists in training of new associates, serving as a shadow partner
• Delivers a friendly and efficient point of sale (POS) experience processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Responsible to meet minimum monthly sales target

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Previous experience leading leaders and associate teams
• Proven ability to lead a pay for performance selling team is preferred
• Demonstrates ability to improve customer satisfaction and drive loyalty
• Proven ability to effectively delegate, follow up and communicate with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrates ability to manage complex and competing priorities with time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrates ability to assess talent, coach, develop and manage performance
• Demonstrates business acumen with strong strategic and analytical skills
• Demonstrates excellent visual merchandising skills
• Demonstrates strong product knowledge
• Schedule flexibility to include nights, weekends, and holidays
