HR Manager

National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy

Washington, DC or Remote

Full-time · Manager

About the job:Are you ready to manage HR in a growing nonprofit that is small enough to be nimble and innovate, but influential enough to punch way above its weight?

Are you passionate about supporting progressive social movements?

Do you have impeccable attention to detail, enjoy the people side of organizations, love creative problem solving and live for streamlining and innovating internal systems, structures, and processes to help organizations do their best work?

The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy is seeking qualified candidates for the position of HR Manager. The position reports directly to NCRP’s VP and Chief Operating Officer.

About NCRP

NCRP promotes philanthropy that serves the public good, is responsive to communities with the least wealth and opportunity and is held accountable to the highest standards of integrity and openness.

We envision a fair, just and democratic society in which the common good is recognized as a high priority; where a robust public sector is empowered to protect, preserve and extend the commonly held resources and public interest; where a vital nonprofit sector provides voice and value to those most in need; where our society has equitable systems; and where all people enjoy equal justice, full inclusion and fair treatment.

Founded in 1976, NCRP has an annual budget of $3.7 million for fiscal year 2022. The organization currently employs 20 full-time staff and expects further growth in the next few years. Our current theory of change is: IF NCRP frames the philanthropic sector debate with high standards and creates or leverages accountability opportunities AND movement groups employ advocacy approaches to funders, THEN funders will feel sufficient pressure to build, share and wield power. Consequently, our work centers around empowering progressive social movement groups to shift the philanthropic sector.
