NANA Regional Corporation is Hiring a Project Coordinator Near Anchorage, AK

Job Description

Coordinates various aspects of a designated project or projects, and assists the Project Manager, Project Engineer and team members with the execution of the project per the established plan. Is responsible to develop and maintain tools for the project such as Meeting Minutes, Action Logs, Rosters, Meeting Schedules, Project Calendar, etc.

Responsibilities

HSE Management

  • Work with project management team to ensure that all aspects of the project is set up and executed in full compliance with the requirements of NANA Worley HSE Management system and the client’s HSSE requirements and stipulations.
  • Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to continuously improve HSE performance.

Project Scope

  • Understand the project scope and project execution plan.
  • Assist project management team and individual contributors with development and delivery of project deliverables per the project execution plan.
  • Effectively use systems to document project interfaces and deliverables.

Quality

  • Ensure NANA Worley Quality Management System (QMS) and client quality system requirements are identified and applied on the project.
  • Drive process improvement through participating in Lessons Learned, Preventive Actions, and Corrective Actions meetings.
  • Review official project correspondence and deliverables for formatting, grammar, and content.

Team

  • Maintain project team roster, project team calendar and organization charts.
  • Aid in collection and distribution of information required for the development and execution of project plans.

Communication

  • Assist Project Manager to ensure accurate and timely reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Assure communication throughout project team by developing and managing support documents such as meeting minutes, action logs, project meeting calendar, etc.
  • Maintain project documentation and aid in the closeout of the project.

Risk

  • Help project team in identification of project risks and opportunities.
  • Monitors closure of all identified risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in an engineering or construction team environment working as a Project Coordinator, Document Controller, or directly related role.
  • Advanced skillset with MS Office Suite.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous experience in hydrocarbon industry.
  • College courses in business administration.
  • Experience working with North Slope operations.
  • Experience working with databases.

Language Ability:

Read, analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Write routine reports and correspondence. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Math Ability:

Math skills sufficient to: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent. Draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Ability to operate a keyboard and calculator by touch. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel, and Outlook and Access.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The position requires a person that is able to travel and work in a remote location overnight or longer. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals and adverse outdoors weather conditions. The employee is expected to abide by all required safety regulations, behaviors and conditions, as required at the local or remote work locations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually high in the Process Areas and requires Hearing Protection. Work in Anchorage will be in a high-rise office building in a private office.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to severe outside weather conditions and perhaps the risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually quiet.

Some company locations and projects may require the employee to travel to remote industrial facilities which will require the employee to fly in aircraft of various sizes and visit the production facilities where excessive noise, heat and cold temperature will be experienced. The ability to climb ladders, stairs and traverse industrial platforms in the performance of the specialist’s duties will be required.
