N4 Information Systems is Hiring an Audio Visual (AV) Technician - (6-Month Contract Position) Near Washington, DC

Job Description/Primary Responsibilities:

· Building AV systems for Conference Rooms, Conference Centers, and Operations Centers with video walls, Board Rooms, Executive Level Suites, etc. AV Equipment may include (but is not limited to) microphones, speakers, cameras, equipment credenzas/racks, video walls, individual televisions, and projectors.

· Racking/stacking equipment according to provided design drawings/flow diagrams/elevations/schedules, rough-in of infrastructure and cabling, installing, and powering up active equipment, supporting the Engineers with programming and provisioning of systems.

· May include integrating new systems into existing systems.

· De-installing end-of-life/end-of-service devices and cabling and systems in support of tech refresh efforts across the Campus.

· Testing AV systems post-installation to ensure quality, signal connection, and to troubleshoot and fix inoperable or malfunctioning equipment prior to project completion.

· Completing test result documentation and submitting it to the Project Manager.

· Collecting inventory of AV equipment and peripherals installed to provide to the program’s Asset Management Team.

Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD (Entry on Duty).

· An associate or bachelor’s degree in audio visual technology or a related field. 2 years of field experience (or Government customer experience) can offset desired educational requirements.

· Any AV or vendor specific training (Crestron, etc.) and certification is highly desirable.

· Strong working knowledge of AV equipment and software, especially AMX, Crestron, Cisco, Extron, Polycom equipment, and virtual meeting platforms (Webex/Teams/Zoom, etc.)

· Excellent troubleshooting skills.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

· Moderate physical fitness to transport and set up heavy equipment.

· Strong customer service skills with a high level of professionalism.

· Ability to remain calm under pressure and work within tight, shifting deadlines.

· Effective time management in support of project and operational reporting.

· Ability to read and decipher Visio line drawings for the visualization of signal flow.

Flexibility and a willingness to continually learn as AV systems, support vendors, and related components change, new systems are added, and customJob Description/Primary Responsibilities:
