myPlace Health is Hiring an Executive Director Near Los Angeles, CA

About myPlace Health
myPlace Health was founded in 2021 by mission-aligned healthcare leaders and organizations that are committed to drastically improving health outcomes, quality and experience for vulnerable older adults and frail seniors. We specialize in providing value-based, comprehensive care and coverage for older adults with significant needs so they can thrive in the homes they love and in the communities they cherish.
Our mission is simple: to enable older adults to live the independent lives they deserve. We pursue this mission through our myPlace PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) model, which provides seamless primary care, integrated health plan coverage, personalized social engagement, and customized services delivered in the participant's preferred place.
myPlace Health is building a mission-driven team that shares our passion for redefining the way older adults experience care as they "age in place" in the community. This is a unique opportunity to take on one of our country's most challenging healthcare problems and join a fast-growing, dynamic team as we prepare to scale our mission to serve more markets.
About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for seasoned operating leader who cares deeply about leading teams to redesign how we care for the most vulnerable older adults in our communities. This mission-driven, dynamic team leader brings a track record of successfully operating and growing integrated care businesses ideally in PACE or similar capitated, value-based care models. This executive is accountable for an assigned market and will play one of the most visible leadership roles that sets the tone in how we build our internal culture and work with external community partners. In close partnership with the Executive Medical Director and our national clinical leaders, the Executive Director will be responsible for achieving key clinical, quality, member experience, regulatory compliance, and financial goals for the assigned market. What's more, this is an opportunity to join myPlace Health at a unique moment in time as we grow and establish our first market in Los Angeles - and also build capabilities that scale to serve other markets, too.

    • Partner closely with our national leadership team on selecting, implementing, and operating the foundational infrastructure to support all aspects of our business
    • Hire, build and develop a diverse team of high-performing clinicians and other care team members to deliver excellent, high quality patient care
    • Serve as an important external face of the organization with network providers, strategic partners, local community-based organizations, and state regulators
    • Clearly articulate an inspiring operating strategy and culture vision to the market, and lead by example
    • Serve as the local resident expert in the myPlace Health model and PACE regulatory compliance, and lead oversight for implementing operational solutions that ensure the market is fully compliant with PACE regulations
    • Oversee budget development and monitor financial performance across all parts of program operations for the market
    • Identify opportunities to tailor our model to best meet the needs of the communities we serve, and leverage strengths of key partners in the community
    • Serve as a catalyst for a culture of continuous learning and improvement in a manner that further evolves and enables the care model
    • Lead with a flexible, roll-up-the-sleeves mindset that generates excitement about going above and beyond to serve the needs of our participants, their caregivers, and our staff
Attributes of an Ideal Candidate
    • Passion for serving high-risk, vulnerable, and/or frail older adults
    • Leadership experience building, scaling, growing, improving and/or turning around care delivery businesses and/or clinical business units
    • Deep understanding of or experience leading care management functions within PACE, Medicaid managed care, Medicare Advantage, other government sponsored health plan models
    • Model the way in how to inspire, manage, coach and mentor high performing teams that reinforce our culture and values
    • Communicate confidently and persuasively to internalaudiences
    • Deep understanding of other innovative health care companies that are leading innovations in home-based care, integrated care for high-risk patients, holistic care for dual eligibles, and related clinical models
