Previous experience would be helpful, but a great attitude and a strong work ethic are our first priorities. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Maintain the appointment schedule (adding, rescheduling and canceling)
2. Greet, take payments, schedule future appointments and communicate insurance/account updates with patient as needed
3. Answer all incoming calls, return missed calls/voicemails and create, change, implement voicemail
4. Create daily billing sheets, enter copays and audit accounts (includes updating popup messages and dispersing payments) for the following business day
5. Utilize Platinum software to review patient demographics and billing information
6. Complete End of Day procedures and reporting once reviewed for accuracy.
7. Enter patient information, including source of referral, scan documents and call on insurance for new patients
8. Communicate/Track requests for doctor’s notes as needed and follow up to ensure completion
9. Enter patient payments as received
10. Provide support to Dr.’s and staff as requested. Including but not limited to: phone calls, e-mails, typing documents, sending out mail, faxing, marketing, researching and all other administrative-like tasks
11. Track inventory of supplies and create supply list as designated
12. Update all required spreadsheets
13. Maintain a clean work environment
14. At any time, you could be assigned to be a part of special projects. These projects may include, but are not limited to:
a. Support other clinics via remote coverage with productivity and performance.
b. Assist the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Team and/or the Benefits Verification Team protocols and procedures. This could include, but not limited to, invoices, auditing patients accounts, reports, etc.
c. Provide in-person coverage when an FDA is out of office.
Applicant must be an outgoing, loving and energetic person. It is essential to have the ability to multi-task and remain calm.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills and the ability to perform expected tasks without supervision. Being bilingual is preferred but not required. Looking for a team player that pays close attention to detail and is highly organized.
