- This growing division in Miami handles a multi-faceted caseload consisting of civil litigation in the areas of insurance defense, such as general liability, bodily injury, slip and fall, first and third-party property, and D&O/E&O.
- Compile, analyze, and organize information
- Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney
- Organize and track files from case documents and make them available and easily accessible to attorneys
- Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling depositions; forwarding summonses and subpoenas; filing discovery requests
- Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact, communicating case progress
- Maintains case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and providers
- Track hours and bill to clients
- Enhances trial proceedings by organizing evidence; organizing exhibits; scheduling
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in a law firm setting
- Insurance defense and/or personal injury experience is a plus
