SUMMARY
The Bookkeeper is a valued member of the Firm’s internal Corporate Services department, primarily responsible for processing Accounts Payable and providing support with General Ledger reconciliations and Month-end closings.
Ready to take the lead, tackle challenging assignments, and excel in the business! At MSL, we'll ask you to:
· Receive and verify invoices for goods and services in Accounts Payable.
· Prepare batches of invoices and enter them into the system for payment processing.
· Handle check run and prepare vendor checks for mailing.
· Distribute Credit Card statements to Firm staff, verifying and entering the information.
· Prepare Journal Entries for payroll, benefits, and other insurance.
· Process monthly expense reports.
· Prepare business Sales & Use tax returns.
· Assist in processing bi-monthly Payroll for the Firm.
· Generate Ad Hoc reports and spreadsheets.
· Assist in generating various month-end reports.
· Assist in month-end closing processes.
Education and Experience
· Associate's degree in accounting from a regionally accredited college or university preferred.
· One to three years of experience in Accounts Payable and other accounting functions.
· Proficiency in Excel, Adobe, and QuickBooks is preferred.
· Knowledge of CCH and Sage is a plus.
