Broadway Media is Hiring a Bookkeeper/Operations Manager Near Orlando, FL

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Operations Manager to join our team as our next Company Administrator. In the capacity as a bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. As the operations lead, you will support senior management in vendor relationships, human resources and overseeing internal auditing. The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience in company administration, be proficient in using QuickBooks Online and Xero software systems, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

This position is hybrid. Applicants should expect to work a combination of shifts in office and from home. While working remotely, employees are required to work from a distraction-free, dedicated office space with a closed door in their home state of Florida.

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and generating reports.
  • Contribute to company operations, handling state paperwork filings, sales tax reporting, and equipment management.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, handle customer paperwork, and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Administer royalty payments to clients, track sales data, and reconcile payments with reseller accounts.
  • Support budget preparation, process improvements, team training, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in both a remote and in-person setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
  • Familiarity with Florida state tax regulations and reporting requirements is a plus.
  • Availability to work during standard business hours in the Eastern Time Zone.
