MSI Express is a single-source contract manufacturing and packaging company, delivering innovative engineering solutions from our strategically located network of manufacturing facilities.

ROLE PURPOSE/POSITION SUMMARY

Ensure consistent implementation and execution of the human resources strategy throughout the assigned region. Partner with senior leadership in contributing to the design and effective implementation of key human resources strategies across the assigned region. Partner with operations leadership in identifying and effectively addressing the human resources implications of changes in policies and practices that occur within the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Activities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy 
  • Oversee the support of current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of company personnel 
  • Develop strong, trusting relationships with business leaders across MSI Express, Inc. to foster collaboration and on-going sharing of best practices and resources, in order to gain mutual business advantage 
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current affairs, particularly the political and social agenda within own country or region and can identify what impact this may have with own business area across all sites and sectors supported 
  • Effectively interact with senior leadership and other functions and ensure that local issues are taken into account when developing strategies and initiatives 

Employee Relation and Engagement

  • Provide guidance and recommendations to senior leadership on matters that may impact people within the organization 
  • Oversee the development of initiatives/activities in support of all site(s) climate and culture within the region 

Growth

  • Oversee the management of training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment for all sites within the region 
  • Provide feedback and coaching to Area HR Managers, HR Managers, HR Representatives, HR Coordinators, within the region, actively listen and ask searching clarifying questions in regards to associates 
  • Oversee the management staffing, succession planning and associate programs and processes 
  • Oversee the management the implementation of training and development activities and monitor effectiveness 
  • Oversee the development trainings as necessary 
  • Drive start-up support 

Tactical Activities

Compliance 

  • Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies that comply with statutory regulations and are consistent with internal and external best practices 
  • Ensure compliance with all required regulations, policies, and laws related to Human Resources activities 
  • Oversee the management of investigations in the region as needed 

Continuity

  • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits systems, processes, and employee communications within the region

Cyclical Activities

  • Oversee the administration of compliance with, and execution of our performance management systems within the region

QUALIFICATIONS/ CAPABILITY PROFILE

Minimum Education

  • BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field or minimum of 10 years HR experience - Required
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or other related field - Preferred
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional - Preferred 

Minimum Experience

  • 10 years of experience in HR with exposure to all major functional areas of HR - Required
  • Previous experience partnering with senior management - Preferred
  • Proven experience of leading deployment of organizational change - Preferred

Minimum Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases - Required
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills - Required
  • Excellent written and verbal skills - Required
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company - Required
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices - Required
  • Ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency - Required
