The Opportunity

We are seeking a strong, experienced Staff Accountant. Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, and have excellent organizational skills. Position requires a high level of correspondence with our sales staff, customers and vendors. Accuracy and attention to detail is a must. Must have strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft applications and be able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment, high growth environment.

Responsibilities

• General accounting including creating and posting journal entries, account reconciliation & bank reconciliations
• Sales tax preparation and reporting monthly
• Manage credit card process which includes coding credit card expenses
• Manage manufacturer commission payments in project management system: tracking
• Create management reports as needed
• Manage and account for pre-paid software maintenance/licenses and computer expense allocation
• Working with outside and bank auditors, provide information as requested
• Fixed assets (maintenance of existing schedule)
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

The Required Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• Minimum of three to five years of accounting experience
• Intermediate to advanced MS 365 skills; Dynamics 365 and Finance & Operations (F&O) experience desired
• Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with other company associates
• Experience working in HVAC/construction industry desired

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
