Job Title: Director of Human Resources
Location: Lehi, Utah

Founded in 2005, Reef has completed more than 500 transactions with an aggregative value of approximately $2 billion dollars. Reef has an exceptional track record of performance, with an IRR on realized investments over the past decade of ~20%. In addition to Reef's investment strategy, Reef and/or affiliates own and operate various business lines that add significant long term value to its projects. Reef is currently involved with a number of projects in Park City, UT as well as the new Deer Valley East Village development area and is developing Black Desert Resort in St. George, UT.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Human Resources is responsible for the oversight of our human resources team and functions within Reef Capital Partners. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Demonstrates in-depth and hands on knowledge of HR best practices
  • Monitors employment practices and decisions to ensure fair and ethical practices that foster effective employee relations, reduced turnover, and promote and maintain a high level of employee morale and harmonious environment
  • Assists in payroll administration for W2 and 1099 employees
  • Coordinates all health, dental, vision, life, and 401(k) benefit administration, and serves as the on-site point of contact for benefit-related issues
  • Works with the recruitment team to facilitate the hiring process for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand needs, skills and competencies required for openings
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications
  • Maintains employee handbook and organizational charts
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Assists with projects and special assignments related to HR functions in support of Reef's strategic business objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, including leading teams
  • Experience with human capital management software (Paylocity is a plus)
  • Ability to work in office with some remote work
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve using analytical skills
  • Proficient use of technology, especially Google Suite and Microsoft Office
