Motion Recruitment Partners is Hiring a Technical Project Manager Near Schaumburg, IL

Job Details

Grow your career as a Technical Project Manager with an innovative global bank in Schaumburg, IL. Contract role with strong possibility of extension. Will require working onsite.

Will work with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and execute projects and programs. Will partner with other internal departments to ensure flawless and comprehensive execution of projects. You will work alongside some of the smartest minds in the industry who are excited to share their knowledge and to learn from you.

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree.
  • 5 years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Expertise in at least one of the project management methodologies like Waterfall or Agile, Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), etc.
  • Expertise with project management tools such as MS Project, Visio, Excel, JIRA, SharePoint, etc.
  • Experience in full life cycle development of applications and Project Management to take projects through Delivery with proven ability to achieve results.
  • Comfortable driving projects for current technologies like Drools, Java/J2EE, UNIX, SAS and databases like Oracle and Web Services like SOAP and REST API's.
  • Should be forward compatible and be able to drive projects with evolving technologies and current trends like Cloud AWS, RedHat BPMS, Big Data Implementations and Analytics tools like Tableau, QlikView, etc.
  • Ability to actively manage multiple projects and responsible for risk and issue management, reporting on project metrics.
  • Demonstrated impact in the following areas:

    • Ability to work cross-functionally both within the business and across businesses to achieve outcomes.
    • Creative problem-solving
    • High degree of intellectual curiosity - motivated by having impact.
    • Ability to work in a matrix organization and manage work across geographically dispersed teams with varying skills and experiences.
    • Strong operational risk management and control mindset.
    • "Can-do" attitude - willingness to "roll up the sleeves".
    • Ability to flex and take on special projects as needed.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Partner with multiple Businesses and cross functional teams and third-party vendors to plan, track and coordinate the integration and delivery of business managed technology and business projects that meet the growing business needs, evolving technologies and emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Develop end-to-end delivery plans and align specific tasks/deliverables from various integration teams and with stakeholders to ensure delivery plans meet business requirements.
  • Leverage strong business, technical and interpersonal skills to manage expectations, and to proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Develop documentation and presentation material to communicate program/project status and plans to Stakeholders to keep them up to date on project status and issues.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for Agile project teams with responsibilities including facilitating Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Ability to function as a team member and work with many different stakeholders with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
