You should have experience designing and installing low voltage and communication systems, as well as knowledge of power distribution and industry standards such as ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards. You should also be proficient in using software such as AutoCAD and Bluebeam and Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with QuoteWerks and System Surveyor are also a plus.

Besides the technical aspects of the role, you will also need strong interpersonal and time management skills, as you may be working with multiple teams and stakeholders. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to present technical and non-technical information clearly and effectively. You may also be responsible for performing end-user training, overseeing the inspection, design, testing, and evaluation of cabling infrastructures, and preparing relevant documentation such as meeting minutes, status reports, and punch lists. You may also act as a telecommunications contact between clients, architects, and third party engineers, and attend site visits with clients, project teams, and other third party engineers as needed.

• Strong knowledge of BICSI industry cable standards and standards.

• Inspects, documents, designs, and tests data, voice, video copper and fiber cabling and associated products according to BICSI standards, EIA/TIA standards, and NEC.
• Participates and oversees the inspection, documentation, design, testing and evaluation of cabling infrastructures.
• May perform end-user training.
