Morrison Industries LLC is Hiring a Marketing Intern Near Grand Rapids, MI
- Assist with our company newsletter (requires InDesign and Photoshop proficiency):
- Design and layout in Adobe InDesign.
- Communicate with branch managers to gather and organize articles and photos
- Edit and prepare photos in Photoshop (CMYK, 300 dpi)
- Edit article submissions for correct grammar and formatting
- Submit to Marketing Manager for review and send InDesign files to the printer
- Assist Digital Marketing Specialist with our company’s “social proof” campaign:
- Communicate with Morrison Industrial branch managers (11)
- Format and organize photos and stories they submit
- Craft and publish engaging content on social platforms
- Assist in email marketing efforts using MailChimp and Sugar Marketing
- Help count, inventory, manage and distribute company apparel
- Help with marketing reports (data & analytics) compiling into PowerPoint presentations
- Help update web content using our CMS (Content Management System)
- A strong desire to learn
- Design portfolio showcasing relevant skills
- Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign; Adobe Illustrator skills are a plus
- Sociable, team-player with professional phone etiquette
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Google and Social platform analytics)
- Monday – Friday 8-5 (or 7-4, flexible) includes 1-hr lunch break. No weekends, no evenings required.
- Quarterly Morrison Marketing Association meetings with peers from other Morrison owned companies (Triad, MVP, IFA, etc.) to learn, share and support each other.
