Cavallo is seeking an Intern with a passion for and interest in all things Marketing. The Marketing Intern should be eager to contribute to the success of the department by executing activities around content creation, digital media, print/web design, email marketing, trade shows, video production, and more.

As part of the Marketing team, the Intern will create and distribute marketing content via websites, print, social media, and other avenues while having the opportunity to get hands-on, corporate experience at one of West Michigan’s largest software firms.

A typical day would include:

• Create written and video content for social media posts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) and engage with users on all platforms
• Assist with developing, implementing, tracking, and optimizing social media metrics and campaigns
• Participate in team meetings to collaboratively plan and strategize upcoming social media content, while managing a comprehensive social media calendar
• Assist in the coordination of industry tradeshows and events, from logistics to creative content development, to ensure successful execution and contribute to the overall marketing strategy
• Execute data compilation and organization tasks, contributing to the development of comprehensive marketing reports and insights, demonstrating strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Drive process improvements within the marketing workflow by actively participating in the implementation of marketing automation tools, enhancing efficiency, and streamlining tasks.
• Performing other duties as assigned

This may be the job for you if:

• You are working toward a BS/MS degree in marketing, creative design, media arts, or a related field
• You are a proficient communicator, writer, and creative thinker
• You have a strong desire to grow your digital marketing skills (previous experience in digital marketing a plus)
• You are proficient or have the desire to develop skills in Adobe Creative Cloud
• You possess good planning, time management, and organizational skills
• You have the ability to work independently and take direction, constructive criticism, and input
• You have experience with video, animation, motion graphics, photography, email marketing, and WordPress (a plus but not required)
• You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are looking to join a team of people who are eager to learn, share knowledge, and work towards reaching Cavallo’s mission
