Cavallo is Hiring a Marketing Communications Writer Near Grand Rapids, MI

The Marketing Coordinator/Writer will create high-quality digital marketing content and help develop, implement, track, and optimize our marketing campaigns across all digital channels. With an aptitude for writing and a willingness to seek out new compelling content, the Marketing Coordinator/Writer should possess proven writing and communication skills and the ability to create copy for all digital mediums, such as blogs and social media. The right individual will be comfortable taking on a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to content creation, social media and email marketing management, creative brainstorming, and event planning. The candidate should also have a desire to learn more about digital content marketing tools, platforms, and strategies.

A typical day would include:

  • Writing copy and assisting in creating B2B content for blog posts, email marketing, website, and social media posts;
  • Assisting in planning and executing web, marketing database, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns;
  • Managing the company’s blog and social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram;
  • Assisting in Marketing efforts for Cavallo’s annual users conference, ELAVATE;
  • Collaborating with other members of the Marketing team to create landing pages and optimize the user experience;
  • Implementing SEO best practices for all web content;
  • Working closely with a small team of freelance writers to edit and publish digital content;
  • Managing content storage and archiving.

This may be the job for you if:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field;
  • You are a proficient communicator, writer, and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform efforts and projects;
  • You are able to adopt a tone consistent with a company’s brand voice and use it accordingly across all digital platforms;
  • You are skilled in social media (SEO/SEM strategy a plus);
  • You have a strong desire to grow in digital marketing skills (proven experience in digital marketing a plus);
  • You have strong organizational and relational skills;
  • You have worked with website analytics tools (e.g. HubSpot, Google Analytics, WebTrends) and CMS (WordPress) a plus;
  • You have experience with marketing automation tools (Pardot, Hubspot, etc.) and CRM (Salesforce.com) a plus;
  • You stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing, measurement, and Artificial Intelligence.
