Job Description

Position: School’s Admin Assistant Montessori School (9:30am to 6:30pm)

Montessori Kids Universe (MKU) Hutto is growing and hiring an admin assistant for a new closing position. MKU Admin Assistant should have a passion for working with and assisting children as well as strong leadership skills. A positive attitude and an enthusiasm for the job are important when working with the young children. They must have excellent communication skills and the ability to exercise judgement. Admin Assistant of an MKU franchise must also ensure that the facility meets its parent organization’s standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, orderly environment for adults and children.
  • Attend and arrange for meetings with the Director.
  • Maintain requirements of Codes for present facilities.
  • Represent and interpret school program to the community.
  • Set up appointments and tours with parents, answer all inquiries and follow up every contact with Childcare CRM protocol.
  • Take over when Head of School is out.
  • Work with the director and teachers to establish, evaluate, and revise curriculum
  • Taking action items for enrollments

Staff Responsibilities In supervising and supporting the teaching staff, the Admin Assistant will:

  • Provide a sounding board for teaching staff.
  • Attend Monthly teacher meetings.
  • Help provide resources for the teaching staff.
  • Evaluate with the staff their in-service training needs and find, or help plan for, training experiences to meet these needs.
  • Help facilitate communication between staff members, and between staff and parents.
  • Provide list of substitute teachers so that teachers may contact, with approval of the Executive Director, their own substitutes.
  • Assist in classrooms when needed

Parent Responsibilities:

  • Be available at scheduled times for conferences, informal conversations, or phone calls with parents.
  • Be available at other times for unscheduled talks with parents when needed. In these contacts, serve as a listener, a consultant, a trouble-shooter, or a communicator of school procedure or policy, as appropriate to the situation.
  • Help set tone that allows and encourages parent involvement in the school.
  • Attend parent meetings and help plan activities.

Public Relations and Community Responsibilities

  • Be available for public relations events for the school.
  • Seek out Montessori materials and files, or prepare new materials as possible and needed, to assist the Owner in public education efforts, recruitment, or parent education.
  • Design advertising, update website and brochures, and assess printing needs in conjunction with the MKU Franchise Support Team.

  • A bachelor's degree
  • Leadership experience
  • Must have experience of working at a licensed childcare facility
  • An affinity for connecting with people
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on results
  • Proficient in Computers, Microsoft Office products, and familiar with different Social Media platforms.
  • A high degree of personal initiative
  • Available to work anytime between 6:30AM- 6:30PM Mon- Fri (assigned shift will be closing shift)

We'd prefer you over other candidates if you have:

  • Experience as an Administrative role
  • Familiarity with the Montessori method of education
  • Experience working with a CRM and billing software
  • Knowledge of the local community that will inform marketing effort
  • Experience in sales, marketing, communication, and management experience in Franchise or Corporate Child Care centers.
