Molly's in Soulard, a bustling and popular independent restaurant, bar, and event venue located in the vibrant neighborhood of Soulard, is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, energetic environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional dining and event experiences. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of our operations to ensure seamless service, exceptional food and beverage quality, and memorable events.

Responsibilities

• Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, and manage staff across various departments including kitchen, service, and administrative personnel. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and maintain high staff morale.
• Financial Oversight: Manage the establishment's budget and cost controls. Analyze financial reports to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
• Customer Experience: Ensure the highest standards of service and customer satisfaction. Resolve any issues with service or quality, ensuring guests always leave with a positive impression.
• Event Management: Work closely with the events team to ensure all client needs are met and events run smoothly.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Maintain a safe environment for both staff and patrons.
• Marketing and Community Engagement: Collaborate with marketing to promote the restaurant and events. Engage with the community to enhance the establishment's local presence and reputation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a General Manager at a similar operation.
• Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle the pressure of a busy environment.
• Passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Experience in event planning and management is highly desirable.
