Summary

Communicates with customers that have delinquent accounts and attempts to secure payment by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains friendly efficient, positive customer service attitude towards customers, and is responsive to the customers' needs.
  • Confers with customer by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of service, and possible payment options.
  • Using an internal CRM, records information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts.
  • Orders service disconnection, after attempting to retain customer from cancelling.
  • Sorts and files correspondence. Mails form letters to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
  • Receives credit card payments and posts amount paid to customer account and documents thoroughly.
  • Averages between Outbound and Inbound - 100 calls per day ().

  • Must have a designated, quiet work area with reliable "hard-wired" internet (no wireless) - equipment will be provided
  • For those within driving distance in South Florida (<50 miles), we are currently working from home. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a hybrid role of coming into the office and working from home as necessary
  • Candidate must be available to attend the first 30 days of training (M-F 9:00 - 6:00) without interruption

Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years related collections experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3 years' Call Center experience is preferable
  • Customer Service experience is preferable
  • Average call volume more than 100 outbound/inbound calls per day
  • Experience in collections is preferred.


Language Skills

Fluency in the English language is required.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of (desired) general accounting software; Internet Explorer and Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Type 35 WPM.
