Mission First is Hiring an Operations Support Lead Near Columbia, MD

DESCRIPTION

As an Operations Support Lead, your role will include technical recruiting, employee stewardship, and customer relations. You will partner and collaborate with all levels of management across all lines of business performing full-life cycle recruiting duties. Additionally, this role will provide day-to-day stewardship of off-site technical personnel that support DoD Contracts. You will provide vital support to the organization’s talent goals and business partnership in aspects of human resources (HR), recruiting, organizational development, culture and employee morale and welfare. This role will handle developing, fostering, and maintaining customer relationships between the company and its partners.

This is an in-office position at our Columbia, MD Headquarters Office. This is a full-time salaried position. 1099s will not be considered.

 Requirements:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen and eligible for a security clearance.
  • Prior experience working for government contractor.
  • Prior experience recruiting as a subcontractor.
  • 5 years of full-lifecycle technical recruiting experience (system administrators, network administrators, hardware technicians)
  • 3 years management experience with a government contractor
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related business field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility, ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Be willing to work outside normal business hours to respond to emergent issues that need immediate attention.
  • High energy initiative-taker
  • Ability to travel to worksites and events in the DC/MD/VA area.
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions may require the following physical demands: Sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling.

Technical Recruiting

  • Full-life cycle recruitment of cleared candidates possessing TS/SCI with polygraphs ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.
  • Recruit qualified candidates, track progress, and create effective recruitment strategies to increase awareness both internally and externally.
  • Follow full-life cycle recruiting process to include general knowledge of OFCCP policies and procedures.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking systems and building out workflows within the system.
  • Demonstrated ability to use various sourcing methods (Internet, social media, networking, cold calls)
  • Effectively use creative sourcing techniques to find passive talent.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Experience with multiple job boards and platforms for finding qualified candidates (LinkedIn, Google, Glassdoor, etc.)
  • Perform clerical functions – answering calls, scheduling interviews, following up with candidates, and templating resumes for DoD contract submissions.
  • Coordinate, prepare and attend recruiting events, both internally and externally.
  • Compile, format, and distribute vacancies both internally and externally.
  • Understand and know the company benefits package.
  • Develop employment engagement programs.
  • Assist leadership in monitoring and controlling attrition.

Stewardship

  • Manages and coordinate organization, or department operation strategies and activities.
  • Provide professional leadership to employees through coaching and mentorship.
  • Monitors, approves, resolves timekeeping issues both on internal systems and external systems.
  • Approve PTO Requests and Leave Requests
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Understand HR policies and general knowledge of DOL, FLSA rules.
  • Guide and handle employee relations issues, including corporate communications, team building, conflict mediation.
  • Address employee performance issues and works with HR and/or leadership on applicable plan of action(s).
  • Adheres to organizational policy keeping a clean and safe workspace.

Customer and Promotional Relations

  • Develop, maintain, promote social media presence on various platforms.
  • Balance client satisfaction with company objectives
  • Interface and coordinate with various customer points of contact related to staffing, contractor onboarding process and paperwork as it relates to each contract, employee performance.
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence.
