The High School Math Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering effective instruction in mathematics to students that instills a love for math and supports students’ understanding of real world application while setting students up for success beyond high school. The successful candidate fosters a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student understanding and proficiency in mathematical concepts. The High School Math Teacher will utilize assessment data to determine progress against instructional objectives and will utilize instructional strategies and differentiated instruction to support all students to achieve their goals. In this position, the High School Math Teacher will also work collaboratively with staff members, administrators, families, and other stakeholders to support students to achieve. The High School Math Teacher will serve as a knowledgeable expert in the subject matter and will also possess effective communication skills, adaptability, and a zest for helping students succeed in mathematics while fostering a positive attitude toward math and encouraging lifelong learning.
