Overview
Reporting to the Executive Committee the Inside Sales Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the inside sales department and lead generation process. Major duties include providing communications, training & coaching to inside reps, monitoring & reporting on sales metrics and managing the sales administration process.
Responsibilities
· Recruiting, training and supervising members of the inside sales team
· Educating inside sales staff on effectively answering customer questions
· Collaborating with the marketing and trade show departments to ensure that the inside sales staff receive quality leads to pursue
· Maintaining an accurate record of all leads and actual sales
· Build a solid inside sales/lead generation team that exceeds goals
· Ensure that sales pipeline remains full with qualified leads & prospects
· Monitor employee productivity and motivate team to reach daily dial goals
· Coordinate department activities and projects to meet project timelines
· Evaluate and improve inside sales and sales administration process
· Supervise team in accordance with company policies & procedures
· Provide coaching and training for inside sales team
· Schedule and lead department staff meetings, workshops and functions
· Report to senior management on sales metrics, opportunities and quotas
· Suggest improvements that can be made to increase value of the team
· Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in Salesforce
· Manage performance and develop employee development plans
Inside Sales Manager Requirements
· Accredited inside sales manager (AISM) and or Certified inside sales professional (CISPS) highly desired
· Proven experience working as an inside sales manager
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Salesforce)
· Excellent leadership skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Sound organizational skills
· Effective communication skills
· Exceptional customer service skills
· 5-10 years experience
