Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front of House Manager to join our team. As the Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's front of house operations. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise front of house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders
- Ensure smooth and efficient operations during service hours
- Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Monitor and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless coordination between front and back of house operations
- Create and implement employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Oversee inventory management for front of house supplies
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to provide feedback, address concerns, and promote teamwork
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement best practices to enhance the overall dining experience
Requirements:
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of catering and banquet services is preferred
- Familiarity with food service regulations and health codes
- Proficient in using POS systems for order processing and payment transactions
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
